I'll be in Grindelwald again for four days in July, and I'm already looking forward to it. I'm back every year to help out at the Eiger Run.

A bit crowded, but still beautiful.

A mountain you simply have to see! However, parking is scarce in Grindelwald, so take advantage of the first opportunity.

Grindelwald offers numerous opportunities for walking, shopping, and dining. Unfortunately, we had trouble finding a parking space; all the parking garages were full. We ended up parking a little further down and walking up. At Base Camp, we treated ourselves to a drink. The views of the mountain range, including the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, are stunning.

Lake Fallboden lies at an altitude of 2,100 meters 📈 directly beneath the imposing Eiger North Face. Although man-made, it feels like a tranquil natural lake – clear, calm, almost meditative 🙏. When there's no wind, the North Face is reflected impressively in the water 💧, as if the mountain were gazing up at the sky. A wooden platform invites you to linger, marmots scamper through the scree 🦫, and the panorama stretches from the glacier to Kleine Scheidegg. The spot is ideal for a break with a view – quiet, impressive, magical ✨️. A short detour that leaves a lasting impression 😶‍🌫️.

Even without climbing ambitions🧗‍♀️ a visit is worthwhile: From Kleine Scheidegg you have a spectacular view of the wall – especially impressive at sunrise🌄 or in a foggy atmosphere🌁.

In the tranquil village of Grindelwald, you'll be treated to a truly breathtaking panorama of the Bernese Oberland mountains. The view encompasses some of Switzerland's most striking peaks.
