Presumably once part of an ancient defensive or viewing position, it now stands solitary and open on the edge of the Burr Plateau – surrounded by ice, rocks, and gnarled branches. Just before reaching the viewing rock or as a final hike through the recreational area, this modernly renovated shelter offers both shelter from the wind and tranquility.
