Wonderful view over the Rhine plain... from here it is not far to the summit... a perfect place especially for sunset

This bench is located very close to the road at the Kandel Pass. There are two nicer benches just a few hundred meters higher up.

On the ascent path from the hiking car park at Kandel to the summit there is this bench where you can take a short break and enjoy the view.

In the immediate vicinity of the summit of the Kandel, this vantage point offers a wide panoramic view across to the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine Valley.

The second, less frequently used, launch site for paragliders is on the south side of the Kandel, above the Fensterliwirt. From here you can take off for flights over and down into the Glottertal.

A beautiful, gently sloping forest path that repeatedly offers beautiful views through the trees into the distance and onto the Black Forest.
