Quaint alpine hut on the Kandel with a wonderful view.
Vespers and homemade cakes.
Products as regionally as possible from the mountain or its valley (Glottertal). Hand in hand with farmers. Ideal destination for hikers, mountain bikers, paragliders, day trippers and motorcyclists.

Definitely worth a detour. Very nice staff, a great and inexpensive menu and when everything is closed, there is still a fridge with drinks and a trustworthy checkout for every hiker. Up here you can have a wonderful rest, eat delicious food and enjoy a great view at the same time. Definitely visit.

Wonderfully rustic hut with very open and personable people, the nickname "Fensterliwirt" is the program - order at the window, then eat outside with a great view over meadows, valleys and cows. Food completely homemade and baked or from the Glottertal.
I stopped by by chance, but can only recommend the hut!

We stroll nicely between meadow and forest, the pass road always to our left hand, towards the parking lot "Kaibeloch". This is easy to see. Then comes a highlight! We turn right, pass a snow in the tree and stand on an almost endless spring meadow, dotted with yellow dandelions. The Feldberg is clearly visible from here. This expanse, the view, the crossing of the meadow along the mowed aisle over to the “window tang” (Gummenhofhütte): there is an alpine feeling :-)
Also good to know: If the window is not there, you can help yourself at the well-stocked fridge in front of the hut.
