Beautiful! We were here in early spring, and not all parts of the path were easily passable because there were still deep puddles to navigate around. This meant the route had to be planned carefully. Also, the boardwalk ends practically in the water at one point, so it's best to plan your visit for later in the year.

Remains of the previous building from 879 are still preserved in the north wall of the Gothic nave of the hall church. On the north wall of the recessed, three-sided choir, supported by buttresses, stands the Gothic, five-story choir flank tower, which flanks the east choir and to which a semicircular apse is attached to the front wall. Its top floor, which houses the belfry with five church bells behind the triforium-style sound arcades, and the transverse gable roof were added in 1583. A stuccoed barrel vault was added to the interior of the nave in 1667, but not to the choir until 1743. The church's furnishings include a high altar made of stuccoed marble, built by Johannes Schütz.

The Catholic parish church of St. Martin is one of the oldest churches in the Nibelgau region—a church already existed here in 879. The present church was remodeled in the Baroque style in the 17th century and boasts a stage-like high altar, a richly decorated stucco ceiling, and frescoes depicting the life of St. Martin. The Gothic choir flanking tower, with its five bells, dates from 1583.

The Allgäu Gourmet Manufactory in Leutkirch-Urlau is an experience center for regional craftsmanship and culinary delights located in a historic brewery. Visitors can expect a village shop and café ("Heimat & Genuss"), a coffee roastery ("Die Rösterin"), the Urlau Gourmet Brewery, the Red Beard Gin Manufactory, and a library with over 12,000 antiquarian books. Guided tours and events offer fascinating insights. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the café open until 5:30 p.m. Admission is €3; children and teenagers up to 17 are free.
