The Arcadia Marsh Boardwalk goes through the Great Lakes Coastal Marsh, a rare ecosystem found only in Great Lakes coastal areas. Only about 80% of all original Great Lakes marshes exist today, with about 15 left.

The St. Pierre Camp Arcadia Trail Loop is open to mountain bikers and hikers. The trail is mostly on relatively flat surface and goes through the woods.

This overlook over the dunes is a wooden platform with guard rails, great to take kids for safe viewing. There are a handful of wooden benches to sit on (and a few rocking benches!).

The Chestnut Loop trail is a shorter option for hiking in the Arcadia Dunes area, just east of the 22 Highway. This area is heavily wooded and is open to mountain bikers and hikers. Since the loop is short, it is considered a good family hike. The land is managed by the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy.

This movable bridge over the Manistee River connects the northern part of the city to the southern one. Beautiful buildings are visible, as well as the garden of the North Riverwalk Memorial Park.

Here the lake and the sand dunes meet: the perfect mix for a relaxing day!
