The 445-hectare Mount Pisgah Conservation Area is owned by the Kennebec Land Trust. The property on the forested summit (246 m) with the Mount Pisgah Fire Tower belongs to the city of Winthrop. The former Maine Forest Service fire tower was in operation from 1949 to 1991 and is open to the public. The tower offers a spectacular panoramic view; on a clear day you can see Mount Washington in the White Mountains to the west and the Camden Hills to the east. https://www.tklt.org/pisgah

Vaughn Brook is a beautiful stream that cuts through Vaughn Woods. There is a trail that runs alongside the brook and will give you good views of the water.

Vaughan Brook is a stream in the town of Hallowell, Maine. The nearby Cascade Pond is a result of the dammed Vaughan Brook just before the river becomes smaller and floats through the Vaughan Woods & Historic Homestead Nature Preserve. The hiking trails in the area partly lead along the river and are located in beautiful nature.

Mount Pisgah, close to the town of Winthrop in Maine, is a prominent peak and popular hiking destination. Once you reach the peak, you can climb even further by accessing the tower, that offers stunning views of the surrounding scenery.
