The historic cemetery is accessible to everyone free of charge. It is large and you can see many ornate tombstones. I recommend following a tourist guide who can tell the details of the different tombs. There is a souvenir stand at the entrance

A magnificent mosque. It was restored in 2010 and is very beautiful to look at. There is an excellent washroom and the forecourt is furnished with a few benches. There is a historic cemetery nearby and a small shop for snacks and drinks further back. Definitely a marker for a lunch break.

A simple restaurant where you can take a short break. I was there in the morning and had coffee and tea. However, the coffee was nothing special. Therefore, this place is only suitable for a short rest.

There is currently a construction site here in the city center (as of August 2023). A big mosque to visit is the Ulu Mosque. Around the square of the mosque there are many small shops. Bitlis is in a deep valley, so the 10km descent is a dream. But you should also think carefully about the way back, since you can only drive out the same way again.

The road is mostly tarred, a few kilometers over sandy slopes or gravel. Take enough water with you, because there are no drinking water points on the route and almost no shaded areas.

Pleasant tour from Mus to Tatvan. At the end of the 85 km the terrain climbs at 6% for the last 20 km. Lavanta Suit right on the lake, slightly more expensive at 700 TL per night. But worth it.
