Beautiful beach with yellow sand

Its beach is considered among the most beautiful in southern Sicily. The sand is fine and golden with clear, crystalline water; it is also a destination for many surfers every year. The Agrigento area is windy but the beach is sheltered by cliffs.

Castle dating back to the mid-1300s built by the will of the Chiaromonte family. It is also known as Castello Chiaramontano.

The Chiaramontano Castle of Montechiaro is the only one that overlooks the sea. All the other Chiaramonte castles are in the internal areas of Sicily. Its beauty is moving and the noise under the cliff is poignant.
