Good asphalt and relatively little traffic outside of rush hour. The mandatory cycle/pedestrian path has many confusing sections with sharp corners; it's only suitable for use towards Schönwalde (uphill). It's downhill towards Kasseedorf, and you can easily travel 50-60 km/h on the road.

Next to the Elisabeth Tower is the 179 m high Bungsberg radio tower, which was built between 1975 and 1977. From the tower's free-to-access observation platform at a height of 40 m, you can see large parts of Schleswig-Holstein as well as parts of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the Baltic Sea in good visibility conditions.

First mentioned in a document in 1240, the church in Schönwalde is a fieldstone church built by Benedictine monks during the colonial period. At that time, fieldstone churches were built in several places in East Holstein. The oldest item in the church's inventory is the pulpit carved from oak.

The church was first mentioned in 1240 and has been expanded several times since then, which can be clearly seen in the masonry. The church is even open during the day. Entry is through a side door. The interior is very nice for a Protestant church!

Important for tour planning: Opening times: From April to October Tuesday - Sunday from 2.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m In the winter months you don't have to do without the amenities. The owner also runs the Cafe Klingberg on the Pönitzer See right next to the bathing establishment. Address: Cafe Klingberg, Seestrasse 95, 23684 Scharbeutz-Klingberg

The height of the telecommunications tower built in 1977 is 179m. The tower is open to the public. There is a viewing platform at a height of approx. 40m, which can be reached via almost 200 steps. The view from up there is absolutely magnificent.

At 179 m, the telecommunications tower is higher than the entire Bungsberg. At a height of 42 m there is a viewing platform that can be reached via steps, from which you have a tremendous view over the whole of East Holstein.

In the stairwell there is a play of colors through the stained windows of the tower. At the top you have a nice overview of the country. Admission is free.
