You don't necessarily have to push your gravel bike here, but you can do it safely! These sections are perfect for fat bikes!

Ruukki's history is tied to the development of the Finnish iron industry. The name "Ruukki" comes from the Swedish word for "ironworks," and the area was historically home to several ironworks that played a significant role in the local economy during the 17th and 18th centuries.

At the moment this road has a bit rough gravel to my taste but it is ride-able.

The hut protected us against wind and a lot of rain during the night. Bring some candles if you don't want to make a fire inside the hut. There is no electricity or whatsoever. We slept inside the kota, and put the mozzie tent up. It is a big kota and has a concrete floor. Dry toilet and wood nearby.

Compacted gravel speedway with a few light potholes, a nice change from the main highway. Once again, don't trust the doubletracks leading off to the sides, many of them quickly turn into deep sand.
