Grand Master Franz Ludwig von Pfalz Neuburg decided in 1730 to replace the previous church with a modern new building. In 1734 the construction was completed and the interior decoration could begin. On the occasion of a general chapter of the Teutonic Order on September 30, 1736, the church was consecrated to the three patrons of the order, the Virgin Mary, Saint Elizabeth and Saint George. The palace church served as a representative building for visitors to the Deutschordenshof, which is why great importance was attached to the architecture. Good cafe but often crowded, especially on weekends. The Schlossgarten-Cafe (in the Schlossgarten) might be an alternative.

A beautiful café. Friendly staff 😊 Lactose-free cappuccino is also available 👌👍. There's outdoor seating in the summer. Dogs are welcome. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 am until at least 10:00 pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
