Beautiful castle with an interesting past.

No visits possible, but the park around the castle can be enjoyed.

The castle made of yellow clinker bricks is very beautiful.

The Veste Landskron is a little off the beaten path on a single-lane country road. But a visit is absolutely worth it, because the ruins are comparatively very well preserved. A club takes care of the maintenance and does a great job! The castle ruins are very winding and resemble an adventure playground. There is something new to discover around every corner and one intention is more beautiful than the other. Absolutely worth seeing! 💚

The castle is located near the original border between Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania, which ran a few kilometers south and east at the Kleiner and Großer Landgraben. It was one of a series of fortifications that protected the crossings over the Tollense between Altentreptow and Demmin (Broock, Burg Osten, Haus Demmin). The beautifully restored moated castle now stands in the middle of nature. There were a number of benches and tables outside.
