The Elio Bonfante bivouac is located in the Maira Valley, in the municipality of Prazxo, at the foot of Chersogno and Rocca La Marchisa, at 2,630 meters above sea level. It has 12 beds.

Colle della Bicocca can be reached by following the panoramic Via dei Cannoni, and from here you can enjoy a splendid panorama. The gaze runs between Val Varaita and Val Maira and on the horizon you can easily recognize Monviso and Monte Pelvo.

This is a beautiful edge of the Maira valley, elevated in relation to the valley, in a perfect location because the sun shines almost all day in summer days. It is a small village but with several places to stay, sleep and eat. If you like the true tranquility of the mountains... it is an ideal place to get lost and regain strength. From Marmora you have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains... and also of Monviso.

The S3 path from km 1.38 is closed, I tried to cross it but it is full of brambles, left a bit abandoned... it's a shame.

Characteristic, very well-kept village, to the left of the fountain take the Napoleonic road.
