Sacra di S. Michele 이후, Novalesa 수도원은 Susa 계곡에서 가장 중요한 고대 기독교 중심지입니다. 성 베드로와 안드레아에게 봉헌된 이 수도원은 726년에 설립되었으며, 부분적으로는 베네딕토회 수도사이고 부분적으로는 S. Colombano의 교리를 따르는 수도사들이 "혼합 규칙"을 따르는 수도원으로 세워졌습니다. 이후 수도원은 베네딕토회 수도사들에게 넘어갔고, 그들은 1646년까지 수도원을 지켰습니다. 그 후 1798년까지 이곳에 머물렀던 시토회 수도사들이 그 자리를 이어받았습니다. 나폴레옹 시대에는 프랑스 수도사들이 수도원을 통제했으며, 이후 피에몬테 정부의 손으로 돌아와 호텔로 개조되었습니다. 1972년에야, 즉 최근에야 수도원은 현재까지 수도원을 지키고 있는 베네딕토회 수도사들의 통제하에 다시 돌아왔습니다. 이 수도원은 인근 Novalesa보다 높은 곳에 아름다운 위치에 있으며, 초원 한가운데, Rocciamelone 맞은편에 자리 잡고 있습니다. The Abbey of Saints Peter and Andrew, also known as the Abbey of (or of) Novalesa, is an ancient Benedictine abbey founded in the 8th century and located in the municipality of Novalesa, in the Susa Valley. Since 1972 the abbey complex has been publicly owned, having been purchased in a dilapidated state by the Province of Turin, now the Metropolitan City of Turin, which entrusted it back to the Benedictine monks. The agreement with the Sublacense Benedictine Congregation has made it possible to enhance the historical and artistic importance of the monument and to spread knowledge of the ancient spiritual, cultural and social tradition of the Benedictine abbey.[1] One of the chapels of the complex houses two important cycles of frescoes from the 11th century, one dedicated to the titular Saint Eldrado and the other, among the first known in the West, to Saint Nicholas of Bari.
