This hut is located right next to the ponds of Tannroda and invites you to take a break. Eat with a view of the water from the front row. What more do you need, sit down, relax and enjoy nature at its best.

We didn't even see the highlight at first because we were too close. It wasn't until we were a bit further away that we noticed Erna. The name fits. 👍😁

The Hopfgarten dam near Weimar serves to protect against flooding and to increase the low water levels of the Gramme, a tributary of the Unstrut. The barrier structure is a 368 m long and 15 m high earth dam. It is also a swimming lake, there are beautiful secluded spots around the reservoir.
