This is a nice section of the Lawrence Loop that takes you a short distance away from the road; the open land to the south is Baker Wetlands.

The Burcham Park Trail is a 1.5 mile long paved trail that runs through the park with the same name. The path is on the banks of the Kansas River and will at times, give you good views of the water.

The dam that holds back Clinton Lake, which in turn serves as a drinking water reservoir for Lawrence. Amenities in the neighboring park include a 25-mile hike/bike trail, an enormous campground, cabins, playgrounds, and kayak rentals.

This particularly scenic stretch of the Tomahawk Creek Trails runs between Tomahawk Valley Park, in the west, and Switzer Road in the east. The southern side of the trail is mostly residential homes, but the north side of the trail is really quite scenic, running past St. Andrews Golf Club and the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.

The Indian Creek Trail stretches 26 miles, extending from the Blue River Greenway Trail just south of E. Bannister Rd. to Hampton Park at S. Warwick St. in Olathe, KS. The trail primarily consists of asphalt and concrete surfaces, providing a smooth pathway for cyclists to enjoy and explore.

This farmstead transports you to frontier farm living and westward expansion. Interact with over 250 animals, experience a Kanza Indian encampment, a one-room schoolhouse, and stroll along the fishing pond on Main Street. Named in honor of Deanna Sue Rose, a dedicated police officer, this place is a living testament to her passion for animals and vibrant life.
