The old town of Saarburg with the castle, the church, the mill museum and the waterfall is definitely a magnet for visitors, at least in the summer months. Unfortunately, the old town is usually flooded with tourists on the weekends.

Nice spot at the mouth of the Saar with seating. Nice place to take a break at the end of the Saar cycle path and on the Moselle cycle path.

Here is not only a beautiful place to linger, the Saar hiking trail that begins on the Donon also ends here. It is about 260 km from the source of the Red Saar to Konz. The stretch is also easily accessible by bike (except for individual sections).
