The "Holy Trinity" palace church is part of the south wing of Elisabethenburg Palace in Meiningen. It served as the court church of the Dukes of Saxe-Meiningen from 1692 to 1920. Desecrated in 1977, it has been used as the "Johannes Brahms Concert Hall" (also known as the "Brahms Hall") since 1982. The Baroque church occupies two floors in the south wing of the palace. In addition to the pulpit and choir screens from 1689, the raised choir features an altar with a four-columned baldachin from 1767 and a prince's box decorated with a coat of arms frieze. The concert organ is now housed there. The church hall is spanned by a large coffered ceiling richly decorated with stucco. A spacious princely crypt is located in the basement beneath the church. This is a really large and really well-maintained ruin. The climb is short and sweet from Henneberg. There is also a path around the complex. It is definitely worth a walk

For German Heritage Day, Bibra Castle opened its doors to visitors. There were guided tours of the grounds with interesting facts, followed by coffee and cake... what more could you want?! Perhaps an overnight stay in the castle? No problem, there's room for 17 people.

In 1915, Reinhold Götz built a mountain garden that included terraced gardens and an artificial castle ruin. The garden is now somewhat overgrown and the castle ruins can only be reached with good shoes and a certain degree of surefootedness.
