There are always beautiful stone bridges over the Werra. Often, there are brief information about the bridge along the side.

The Bismarck Tower on the Domberg in Suhl is a historic observation tower built in 1896 in honor of Otto von Bismarck. It stands at a height of 676 meters and offers an impressive 360° panoramic view of Suhl, the Thuringian Forest, and the Rhön Mountains.

A quiet, historic place with fantastic panoramic views over Suhl and the Thuringian Forest. The small chapel sits enthroned on a rocky outcrop on the cathedral hill, and its frescoes tell the tragic Ottilie legend.

The hype of honoring the "Iron Chancellor" with a fire tower was a good hundred years ago and hardly anyone knows what to do with it anymore. Nevertheless, there are 147 Bismarck towers, but this one is the most beautiful! When you stand in front of it, you can't decide which building is older, the tower or the abandoned cathedral building (...Bismarck has definitely held up better...) but when you open the gate, you don't care and you start to worry about whether it's open or closed. If you grab the handle at eye level and actually let yourself be pushed down, you're very happy! The heavy green wooden door can be opened - the few steps are manageable and hardly worth mentioning. Although the clear, simple staircase with the green railing is also something... Once you get to the top, the wind blows around your ears and you can marvel at the Rennsteig around Goldlauter, the Ringberg Hotel, which is typical of Suhl, the now naked Döllberg and many other scenic landmarks. The Dombergverein in the neighborhood, with solid management, rounds off the whole story. What more do you need to create a perfect day?

Einhausen goes back to a Celtic settlement that must have been here, as grave finds near the motorway prove. However, it was not officially mentioned for the first time as Egenenhusen until 1151. Einhausen was almost wiped out in the Thirty Years' War. Only 4 of 60 families remained. For hikers, there is a particular attraction in Einhausen to explore the church fortress, which can be entered even if the gate appears to be locked. The church itself can be opened by calling a cell phone number.

This beautiful bridge connects the castle park over the Werra with the ascending paths in the forest, for example to the Diezhäuschen lookout point.
