Beautiful scenery, but a poor road. With full luggage, proper bike paths are better.

It's a shame it's not a pleasant bike path. The unpaved surface isn't ideal with a full load of luggage.

Let de Stigter Pad - beautiful and doable for everyone everywhere! If going through the Heuvelrug, I always include it in one of the directions! Not just dangerous to race it, but also not worth as you will miss out on its beauty :)

Beautiful path along the floodplains that is easy to ride even in wet conditions. This path is also used a lot by hikers.

The Let de Stigterpad contains some of the most beautiful and well-known gravel strips of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. From Maarn to Rhenen you cycle on hardpack gravel through forests and over narrow paths between heathlands. Then through open meadows and past a beautiful castle. The Let de Stigterpad is named after the first chair of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park: Let de Stigter for her efforts around the realization of the National Park. It can be busy here, especially on nice weekend days, so mind your speed.

Nice path, good to do on a racing bike when it is dry. Not too narrow so passing oncoming traffic is no problem.
