Sääksmäen Lake, located in the region of Häme in southern Finland, is known for its picturesque scenery and tranquil waters. The lake is part of a larger network of waterways in the area, offering stunning views of nature and a peaceful atmosphere.

Quaint swamp area with boardwalks. On the Vahteristo nature trail, you can walk around it.

Small café with a delicious selection of pullaa, kahvi, munkki, lemonade and a variety of pies and cakes. Today on Juhannu's Day 2o24 there was salmon-feta-piirakkaa.

Wooden platform on the water with benches. A board informs you which buildings and sights you can see from here (Hämeenlinna, barracks, park...)

nice way to get from one side of Hyvinkää to another without having to go through the town itself, little traffic, in the west (Monninlinja) good asphalt and gently rolling hills, in the east (Rutikantie) hillier and plenty of potholes but still rides okay, rural except for a little bit of suburbia in the middle
