The Roman fort is located here in the Roman Park. The park is beautifully landscaped, with a large children's playground, a Roman Museum and archaeological park, and numerous benches invite you to relax.

The fort was built by the Romans between 90 and 95 AD as Grinario Fort, but was abandoned around the year 260. After that, it was used by the villagers, for example, to build a Roman bath. Teck Castle sits enthroned at an altitude of 773 meters on the Albtrauf of the Swabian Alb. The Swabian Alb Association runs a restaurant and a hostel here - the ideal place to take a relaxing break with a great view during your tour.

Kirchheim Castle is a feast for the eyes at any time of the year and invites you to visit.

After his return from exile, Duke Ulrich von Württemberg had seven state fortresses expanded in order to better protect his territory from the outside world. As part of these measures, the city fortifications of Kirchheim/Teck were expanded and the castle was built from 1538 as a corner bastion of the city wall. The simple functional building with two half-timbered floors over a solid base was completed in 1556 under Ulrich's son and successor, Duke Christoph. Initially, the modest castle was used by the sovereigns for defense and occasionally as a hunting lodge. When the plague raged in the residential city of Stuttgart in 1594, Duke Friedrich I moved the court here. With its decreasing importance as a state fortress, it was expanded into a residential palace. The diamond-shaped, irregular four-wing complex is surrounded by a deep moat, which has now been drained. The city wall is attached to one side.
