The lakeside stage is also located here, and concerts, etc., are regularly held. Therefore, there is, of course, also a nice parking lot.

4월 24, 2025, Schloss Seeburg
Seeburg is dominated by the castle of the same name, visible from afar and rising majestically on a peninsula above the Süßer See (Sweet Lake). It is the western part of an ancient, very large refuge. Since the late 1990s, the castle has been divided into private ownership, changing hands several times. This has resulted in the castle remaining unrenovated, standing empty, and falling into disrepair. The Widow's Tower and the castle church, however, have been renovated and are owned by a fruit farm. They are used as a residence, for vacation apartments, as a registry office, and for concerts. The new orangery on the lake promenade represents a further step toward tourism. The architecturally sophisticated new building will allow year-round operation.

4월 23, 2025, Seeperle Ship Restaurant
The ship's restaurant "Seeperle" has a rich history. In 1892, the passenger side-wheel steamer left the shipyard in Dresden-Blasewitz and was christened "Graf Molthe." At that time, the steamer sailed under the Saxon-Bohemian flag on the Upper Elbe. In 1945, it was confiscated by Czechoslovakia. In 1947, it was renamed "Königstein" and served with the "White Fleet Dresden" until its final decommissioning in 1972. The then Eisleben Consumer Cooperative purchased the ship and converted it into a restaurant. It was rechristened on July 7, 1973. This time, the ship was renamed "Seeperle" and became a restaurant with a bar on the Süßen See. In 1991, the ship's restaurant was again put up for sale. Long-time chef Jürgen Meinecke acquired the restaurant and has successfully run it ever since.

Very beautiful, large and modernized lake stage. A lot has happened around the lake stage. Great excursion and event location. An asset for Schladitzer Lake and northern Leipzig.

The town and monastery church of St. James Major and the Augustinian canonry of St. Clemens have been offering people the opportunity to hear God's word, to pray and to sing for almost nine centuries. It is dedicated to James the Elder, to whose grave in Santiago de Compostela people have been making pilgrimages since the 8th century. It is therefore reasonable to assume that the Brehna parish church is a remote stop on the Way of St. James and that even in pre-Reformation times people found peace and contemplation in the church on their way south. This is why it was opened to travelers after renovation in 2003. The history of the church is closely linked to the history of Dietrich I, Hedwig von Brehna and Katharina von Bora. The original part of the church is Romanesque: the west transept tower from the 10th century, which probably once served as a watchtower or protective castle. The church tower walls are two meters thick. The nave to the east is also Romanesque. It was built as a single-nave quarry stone building. In 1156, Friedrich I took over the county of Brehna. After his death, his wife Hedwig von Bora founded St. Clemens zu Brehna on August 15, 1201 and made it her widow's residence. The collegiate church was consecrated in 1202. In 1290, a house for canonesses was built. The most famous student of the collegiate church was Katharina von Bora, who was educated there between 1504 and 1508. After the Reformation, the monastery began to decline. It was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War. All that remains is the substructure of the chapter house and the collegiate church as half of the nave of the entire choir. In the 17th century, the church tower was raised, but it collapsed in the great city fire of 1713. The fragments of the four church tower bells were cast into a large bell a year later, which has survived to this day. The external form of the church has essentially remained unchanged to this day. As a symbol for travelers, the scallop shell, which is named after the patron saint of the church, can be found on the patron's box in the western part of the church. The wooden pulpit and the buttresses attached to the nave from the 16th century have been preserved to this day. The furnishings of the parish church were mainly created in the 17th and 18th centuries. The late Gothic winged altar decorated with baroque elements is noteworthy. The confessionals date from the early 18th century. The town and monastery church is surrounded by the churchyard, which was used as a cemetery until 1900. There is now a park of around two hectares with various tombs from the classicism and the Wilhelminian period. The renovation of the town and monastery church is also financed with donations from the Friends of the Town and Monastery Church Association, which organizes regular events every year.[1] Source https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Jakobus_und_St._Clemens_(Brehna)

On September 13, 1876, the miller Reinhold David Hädicke, who was 23 at the time, bought the mill. Since then, the mill has been owned by the Hädicke family. In 1845, the windmill owner Johann Carl Thormann bought a quarter of a hectare of land from Johann Heinrich Günther from Brehna for 500 thalers and built a windmill and a house with a stable on it. In February 1875, he advertised in the Bitterfeld district newspaper: "A young person who wants to become a miller can, under favorable conditions, begin an apprenticeship with the mill owner C. Thormann in Brehna" (No. 20/1875). On September 13, 1876, the miller Reinhold David Hädicke, who was 23 at the time, bought the mill. Since then, the mill has been owned by the Hädicke family. In 1946, a storm caused major damage to the mill, which also affected the wooden turning mechanism. Arthur Hädicke placed the mill on a rotating roller ring. A former post mill became a paltrock mill. The miller Hädicke operated his mill until 1991. It is thanks to him and his daughters as well as the Leitschuh family that the Hädicke mill is still functional today. In 1998/1999, Mrs. Hädicke and the Leitschuh family had the mill renovated with support. Even today, the mill is considered one of the best preserved in the area and far beyond the region. The Leitschuh family is happy to open it to all interested visitors, by appointment. Mill enthusiasts and anyone interested are also welcome to the annual Mill Day (Whit Monday) and the Open Monument Day. source https://www.sandersdorf-brehna.de/ meine-Stadt/Stadt-Land-Kultur/Sehensw%C3%BCrdigkeiten/Geb%C3%A4ude- and-M%C3%BChlen/Die-H%C3%A4dicke-M%C3%BChle-zu-Brehna.php?object=tx%2C3722.18292.1&La=1&NavID=3722.77
