On sunny days, there’s an ice cream cart where you can treat yourself. You’re welcome to enjoy it on one of the benches or at a table. And not to be overlooked — especially for our cyclists and hikers — there’s also a mobile toilet available. 😊

The Homo Natura, made by Wilfried De Cock is a nice work of art to definitely stop at. The information board gives food for thought. Musing in the lap of this work of art I ask myself questions... Don't we all belong to the same family? Doesn't an oak leaf consist of the same small particles that we also carry within ourselves? As humans we are actually no more or less valuable than the smallest particle of nature. There is no such thing as "man and nature". There is only "nature".

The Vlooybergtoren is a tourist attraction on the Pastoriestraat in the Flemish Brabant municipality of Tielt-Winge. The lookout tower is located on the Vlooyberg, with its eighty meters one of the highest witness hills in the Hageland, which on clear days offers a view up to the cooling towers of Vilvoorde and the headframe of the coal mine of Beringen.

The Chartreuzenbos is a forest in the Belgian municipality of Holsbeek and is part of one of the most important nature reserves in Hageland. The forest is approximately 70 hectares in size. The Chartreuzenbos is protected in Europe as part of the Natura 2000 area 'Valleien van de Winge en de Motte met valleihellingen' (BE2400012). The name refers to the former owners, the monastery of the Carthusians of Leuven.
