The Lura is the Italian Emscher. It too has been and is being renaturalized and transformed into a floodplain and park landscape.

Parco delle Groane, a green oasis between the northern metropolis of Milan and the province of Como, offers walking and cycling paths immersed in oak and pine forests. Admire enchanting lakes with lotus flowers, ancient villas with flower gardens and varied landscapes between moorland and natural reflections. Perfect for trekking and cycling, it is the ideal place for those seeking nature and serenity close to the city.

Fun single track near Como, also suitable for an e-bike ride. The route starts from Cavallasca and arrives in Como, and alternates simple stretches with more challenging sections, with small jumps that can be easily avoided. In every season, it offers spectacular views of Lake Como.

Locally, instead of following the tracks, you can also take the paved path above, which is actually nicer (see photo).
