The statue of Wiebe Russchen, "driving force against the current". He is a symbol for all volunteers of Emmer-Compascuum.

A nice start of the walk is to look at dolmen D45 which is located in the Emmerdennen a forest area in the town of Emmen. D45 is the third largest dolmen in the Netherlands and also has the outer ring. The 'from tree to forest' route is a very diverse walking route where you will encounter beautiful landscapes, but also the gnome forest.

A statue that I believe represents a soldier from World War II. I don't know who it represents though

Only half of the stones of dolmen D35 remain. Another striking element is that it is located exactly in an east-west direction.

This megalithic tomb is found in the Emmerdennen.

Dolmen D45. Easily accessible from the main cycle path. Just turn right onto the walking/cycling path and after 200 meters you are there. Quite large dolmen. There is a sign next to the dolmen with an explanation and history.
