On the way along the Vechte near Nordhorn.

The church, situated on a hill, has changed its appearance repeatedly over the centuries. However, parts of the church are still said to be over 1000 years old. The tower was rebuilt after it collapsed during a storm in 1811, destroying large sections of the vault.

It offers a nice place to take a break. Several benches and tables are available there.

The "Petkuser-Straße" is part of an excellent cycle path between the new bakery cafe "Lohner Landbäcker" in Klausheide and the pilgrimage site Wietmarschen and vice versa. It branches off from the "Karl-Braun-Straße" opposite the Jet petrol station and first leads past the "AWO Gut Klausheide". Partly as a beautiful avenue, it then runs straight past a small forest and fields and meadows. The "Petkuser Straße", which has little traffic and is wonderful to cycle on, turns off after about 2.2 km. The cycle path that continues straight ahead is now a narrow concrete bike path and leads to a weather shelter. From here it is an unpaved but easy-to-ride idyllic forest path that leads through the "Fürstenholz" to Wietmarschen.
