Next to the restaurant you also have a camping. The camping is quite rudimentary, but its most important asset is the restaurant. Unfortunately it is only open during restaurant hours. You eat well here, but beware, the restaurant appears to be very popular locally. The restaurant runs on its local guests and not on the camping guests. Both are owned by the same owner.

Oltingue is a quiet village in the Sundgau with a late-classical village ensemble around the church of Saint-Martin (1827–1831), the rectory and the former school. The Callinet organ (1843), the double staircase of the rectory and the facade details are striking. There are several historic houses in the village, including half-timbered houses from 1695 and a farm from the 16th century. To the east lies the chapel of Saint-Brice, a former place of pilgrimage with a baroque altar and an outdoor pulpit.

This former mother church of Oltingue and three disappeared villages dates from the 13th and 14th centuries. The location is idyllic: surrounded by fields, an old cemetery and often with storks on the roof in the spring. Inside you will discover surprisingly well (?) preserved wall paintings, including a rare representation of the sacrifice of Melchisedech and a Last Supper from 1741. In the choir you will also find a wall tabernacle and a niche for liturgical objects, silent witnesses of medieval rituals. The Gothic arched windows and the neo-Gothic vault are reminders of later restorations, while archaeological excavations in 1989 revealed traces of older sanctuaries and tombs from the early Middle Ages. simple but full of character.

Saint Ursanne is a town with a very special flair. In summer we swim in the Doubs - a very special experience for me. We had dinner at the Hôtel Restaurant les Deux Clefs - also a very special experience. A beautiful restaurant and a super nice boss. I can particularly recommend the path along the Doubs to Soubey - beautiful with sandy shores and swimming opportunities. I have never seen fewer people anywhere else.

Anyone who loves nature and has a heart for history simply cannot avoid Saint-Ursanne. It is not for nothing that the medieval town on the Doubs, with its mighty railway viaduct, the buildings that have stood still in time and the history behind every facade, is one of the most charming old towns in Switzerland. And if all this is not enough for you, the countryside in the Doubs Valley is warmly recommended. The only downer are the many parked cars in the old town. They destroy the romantic image that the Jurassic town conveys to the outside and inside.

The nice thing about the little town of Saint-Ursanne is that it makes nature lovers and history buffs happy to the same extent. It's impressive when you walk along the wide strip of the Doubs and have a view of the backdrop of the medieval city. The Pont Saint-Jean alone is a feast for the eyes.

This church, which dates from the 12th century, was rebuilt in the 18th century. Only the tower retains its original Romanesque style, with the bell tower. If you like the organ, come in to see if you are entitled to a small concert!
