Furesø Lake, nestled in the picturesque Danish countryside, is the deepest lake in Denmark with a maximum depth of 37.7 meters. Surrounded by lush forests, this scenic body of water serves as a popular recreational spot for locals and visitors alike, offering a variety of activities such as swimming, boating, and hiking in its serene environment.

In the middle of the 435-hectare beech wood of Jægersborg Hegn is Bøllemosen – an old peat bog containing unique animal and plant life. Bøllemosen was previously an ordinary lake, but gradually became overgrown and developed into a raised bog. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the bog was used for the digging of peat.
