Great new cycle path along the Elster River. The Mühltal valley is almost even more beautiful. My recommendation is to follow the cycle path as it was sketched there and take your time in the Mühltal valley to enjoy it. And all without any inclines, wonderful!!

The still preserved Romanesque church of St. Mary and St. George (often referred to as the Thalbürgel Monastery Church) is one of the most important sacred monuments in Thuringia and contains the remains of the only Benedictine choir in Germany.
