The interior is particularly characterized by the three eleven-meter-high choir windows, whose color scheme creates a brilliant light in the nave. The people of Heiligenstadt became aware of the artist Graham Jones through his designs for the Cochem church windows. His use of figurative forms and vibrant colors was very well received. Since 2011, the windows, depicting the Annunciation, Pentecost - the Mission of the Holy Spirit, and the Assumption, have adorned the Provost's Church.

The Allendorf Bridge over the Werra connects Bad Sooden with Allendorf. On both sides there are beautiful views of "Little Venice", the Fischerstad and the St. Crucis Church.
