If you're able to follow the ideal line, you can get through with minimal steering input, saving time and energy. The bike path is nice and smooth and easy to ride. It's in better condition than the road next to it. 💪🏼

The church, dedicated to Saint George, the fighter against all evil, was probably built soon after. Its north wall still shows what it might have originally looked like: beautiful fieldstone masonry with small arched windows.

The asphalt is now "semi" ... in the direction of Südergellersen (slightly uphill) this is less of a problem than the other way around ;-)

Overall, the bike path is well-maintained, but unfortunately there are a few bumps to be prepared for. It's more comfortable than the sometimes busy, parallel state road.

A relatively new cycle path, still usable for racing bikes. Unfortunately, the Uelzen district now builds almost exclusively with concrete slabs, which can sometimes be uncomfortable at the joints when riding with heavily inflated tires.
