A must have on the way to the Wanderkaiser.

The Pioneer Tunnel is a stop on the Selketalstieg between Alexisbad and Mägdesprung and is located on the east side of the picturesque Selke Valley. This artificial, around 10 meters long and relatively low passage was driven through the rock in May 1900 within a few days. The hiking trail leads through here. There is no alternative route over or around the rock, so if you don't want to turn back you have to squeeze through the narrow tunnel. Dreamy building in the forest with an interesting history and a mausoleum in the truest sense of the word, today a bat quarters

Stamp point 200 of the Harzer hiking nobility. Also required for the special issue of castles and palaces.

Around 1834, the Asseburgers built a mausoleum in the neo-Gothic style in the middle of the village. The impressive burial ground made of large bricks is the last resting place of the builder of the castle and his family. Today there is also a stamp office for the Harzer hiking pin. Visitors can take a look inside the family crypt through a large lattice gate.

Great highlight on the pioneer trail up to the Köthener Hütte, it's worth it! If you pay attention, you can discover some of the names of the pioneers in the stone.

The hut was rebuilt by Harzclub. The previous one was dilapidated. It looks like a small church and is also nicknamed the chapel.

An intermediate station, photo point and rest area for a beautiful tour between Straßberg and Mägdesprung. Park the car in one of the two places, hike to the other place and take the Selketalbahn back to the car. Top experience
