Berchtesgaden National Park Experience pure nature in Germany's only Alpine National Park In 1978, Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany's first and only Alpine National Park, was created as a natural sanctuary. Today, Berchtesgaden National Park fulfills numerous other functions related to nature conservation, research, recreation, and education.
