437m 높이의 라인하우저 발트(Reinhäuser Wald) 최고 지점에는 휴식 장소인 쾨흘레르휘테(Köhlerhütte)와 북쪽으로 펼쳐진 탁 트인 전망이 있습니다. 👍

Coming from Hanstein Castle on the way to the Teufelskanzel, you have 2 options. The steep path on the right leads to the highest point of the Höhenberg, the Junkerkuppe. It is 511 m above sea level.

Great view to the north-west to Göttingen with Osterberg and to the north-east over the Reinhäuser Forest, the same, the Eschenberg and in the background the Harz Mountains.

Another beautiful view awaits the hiker at the Elisabethhöhe. The focus here is on the beautiful district of Rengelrode in Heiligenstadt and the Rengelröder waiting room.

The first castle on the Rusteberg was first mentioned in a document in 1123, but was already destroyed again in 1160. Subsequent buildings and extensions by the archbishops of Mainz were carried out from the 12th century. In 1749 and 1750 the administration built Rusteberg Castle. In connection with this, the demolition of the previously intact castle began in order to use the stones as building material.
