Wasserburg am Inn (officially Wasserburg a.Inn) is a town in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim. It lies about 55 km east of the state capital Munich and about 25 km north of the district town of Rosenheim. It was the seat of the district court of Wasserburg a.Inn, from which the district court of Wasserburg am Inn and the district office, which later became the district office of Wasserburg a.Inn, emerged.

Which is actually the most beautiful city on the Inn? I think Wasserburg would be at the top of the list, but just below Passau.

Wonderful tour on the Inn cycle path

Wasserburg a.Inn surprises with its unique location. The city in the north of the Chiemsee Alps lies on a peninsula. Magnificent, colorful patrician houses with their arcades, the castle that was built in the 12th century, winding streets, selected shops and small cafés invite you to stroll and linger. You have a wonderful view of Wasserburg from the nearby Kellerberg.
