Very idyllically situated lake. Worth a visit or at least a detour if you are driving in the region. Great beer garden with a view of the lake.

The Riemer See (also known as the Buga Lake or bathing lake in Riemer Park) is an artificially created bathing lake in the east of Munich as part of the 2005 Federal Garden Show. In the new Munich district of Messestadt Riem, the landscape park planned by the French landscape architect Gilles Vexlard, the Riemer Park, was created . The Riemer See lies in the eastern part of this landscape park. It covers a pure water area of approx. 7.7 hectares and is on average 14 m deep, in a few places up to 18 m. The landscape park directly surrounding the lake with the north bank, jetty and beach measures another approx. 6.1 hectares. Source and further information https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riemer_See

Idyllic hamlet with a small pond and the former branch church of St. Ulrich. The existence of the branch church has been documented since 1100. The year of construction of today's chapel has not been handed down exactly, probably from the first half of the 18th century. The chapel is privately owned but can be visited on Memorial Day.

The groundwater lake was created between 1937 and 1938 after the end of gravel mining operated by the Reichsbahn on the site. Today the 11.1 hectare quarry pond, which has been completely redesigned as a recreation area, is a popular bathing lake. It is 12.5 m deep at its deepest point. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heimstettener_See

A very nice place with an idyllic pond, formerly probably a fire pond, and a pretty little chapel.

In the west of the Ostpark, the garden architect Josef Wurzer created the 3.5 hectare lake with many bays, which is fed by a groundwater well. Michaeligarten, a restaurant with beer garden (3,000 seats) is located on the north shore of the lake.

Winding paths, tranquil ponds and a well-kept lawn are the shining features of the Ostpark, which serves as a green oasis for many Neuperlach residents. https://www.muenchen.de/sehenswuerdigkeiten/orte/120226.html

Great green island in the southeast of Munich! The establishment of a Munich East Park at its later construction site was first discussed in 1918. However, the park was only realized as part of the planning for the Neuperlach district. The entire area of the park, around 56 hectares, was officially opened on May 27, 1982. The hills cover rubble that accrued during the construction of Neuperlach and the subway. In addition to a complex network of paths, landscape architect Josef Wurzer created a 3.5 hectare lake with many bays in the west of the park, which is fed by groundwater wells. https://www.muenchenwiki.de/wiki/Ostpark

Especially nice at the beginning of October, circumnavigating the lakes because the trees on the lake are changing color.
