The Riemer See (also known as the Buga Lake or bathing lake in Riemer Park) is an artificially created bathing lake in the east of Munich as part of the 2005 Federal Garden Show. In the new Munich district of Messestadt Riem, the landscape park planned by the French landscape architect Gilles Vexlard, the Riemer Park, was created . The Riemer See lies in the eastern part of this landscape park. It covers a pure water area of approx. 7.7 hectares and is on average 14 m deep, in a few places up to 18 m. The landscape park directly surrounding the lake with the north bank, jetty and beach measures another approx. 6.1 hectares. Source and further information https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riemer_See

A nice place to go in the summer when you are in Munich. This vast area is full of greenery and various sports opportunities. You can get there by metro, or from the center on foot, which takes a little over an hour.

The Olympic Park in Munich was the venue for the XX. Olympic Games 1972 and is located in the Munich district 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart on the Oberwiesenfeld area. To this day it is a venue for sporting events as well as a venue for cultural, social or religious/ideological events or church services. The Olympic Park is managed by Olympiapark München GmbH, a wholly owned investment company of the state capital Munich. By November 2015, over 11,500 events with more than 200 million visitors had taken place in the 85-hectare park. Since the 1972 Summer Games, the Olympic Park buildings have hosted 31 World Championships, 12 European Championships and almost 100 German Championships. There are also numerous other events such as concerts, trade fairs, exhibitions, etc. In short, it is simply a beautiful park with a lot to discover and admire. 🤩👍🤩👍
