From the Altarklippen you have a wonderful view over the Granetalsperre to the Rammelsberg. For me it is one of the top 20 stamping points for the Harz hiking pin. The path up to the Altarklippen is easy to do - even by bike.

Beautiful view of the Granestausee with a bench to relax on. Very nice photo opportunity, especially in winter.

This beautiful viewpoint is from above the Granetalsperre, seen from the “Im Schlüsseltale” path. A wonderful panoramic view, the climb is worth it!
