At the first castle gate, the world is still relatively alright... after that, the path climbs really nicely and your calves will be happy ;) But anyway - the view at the top is definitely worth it.

The best view in the district and always worth a visit. In summer, you can also experience live events on a specially installed stage in the castle courtyard as part of the Güssing Summer of Culture. But the well-preserved castle is worth seeing even at other times. And the view... absolutely stunning.

On the northern shore of the reservoir, you'll find a beautiful, unspoiled floodplain forest. Wild boars often roam this area. But don't worry: they are generally shy animals and rarely show themselves. Extra caution is only advised if you encounter a mother with her piglets, which is practically unheard of on tourist trails.

It's practically the "center of the world" in Southern Burgenland. It's been perched atop a volcanic cone for centuries and is impossible to miss. And the view from the top is truly magnificent, in all directions. Admission to the castle courtyard and the view is free. However, exhibitions on various topics are also regularly held within the walls themselves. An admission fee applies for these. All in all, a must-see for every visitor to Southern Burgenland.

The ponds are truly worth seeing. There's a circular path, but there are also short hikes between the ponds. Caution: There are restricted areas. Please respect them.

I haven't been inside myself yet, but the building is certainly beautiful from the outside. It has a historic feel.
