I love this castle! I am happy that it can be visited freely and there is less interference from posterity than in the case of other larger castles in the area. ... there will be good summer programs for sure and I will also award the creative exhibition... Wheelbarrows!😄👍

Güssing Castle is the oldest castle in Burgenland; it was built on an extinct volcano. Unfortunately, cycling is prohibited within the wall, so there is a “bicycle parking lot” to the right in front of the entrance.

Huge oak tree, in winter, without leaves, not quite as noticeable. But very impressive.

This huge oak is a listed monument. A bench on the opposite side of the path invites you to rest.

A beautiful, very easy to drive trail leads here along the small reservoir. There is also a shady rest area here!
