Dinkelland is a municipality in the province of Overijssel. It was founded in 2001 through the merger of the municipalities of Denekamp, Ootmarsum and Weerselo. The municipal administration is located in Denekamp. Dinkelland is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Denekamp with the idyllic "Singraven estate", the "art city" of Ootmarsum, the picturesque forest area in the "Het Springendal" nature reserve and the course of the natural and partially meandering Dinkel river are all attractive and worth seeing destinations.

The Vechtesee is highly recommended

Lake Vechte is located in the immediate vicinity of Nordhorn's city center. It acts as a buffer reservoir, protecting Nordhorn from flooding. It also serves as a local recreation area with excellent restaurants. There are many recreational opportunities here, such as sailing, surfing, or hiking or cycling around the beautiful Vechte Lake. Pedal boats and rowboats are available for rent at a boat rental shop, allowing you to explore Nordhorn's city center, for example. Tour boats also offer tours through Nordhorn's city center along the Vechte River, which branches off here.

The Vechtesee in Nordhorn is a popular destination.

The redesigned Reiterbrücke (Equestrian Bridge) was fitted with a flooring made of durable, non-slip plastic planks. The old railing was replaced with a significantly higher one. The bridge, now featuring a significantly wider roadway, allows easy passage for oncoming traffic on the frequently used pedestrian and bicycle path. A ramp was built in the immediate vicinity of the Reiterbrücke. From here, a moderately downward branch provides easy and barrier-free access to the lower pedestrian and bicycle path along Lake Vechte. The perfectly finished Reiterbrücke offers a beautiful view of Lake Vechte and is now another highlight in the water town of Nordhorn.
