The Alfsee was artificially created to regulate the water level of the Hase River and to facilitate agriculture in the Hase floodplains. This recreational lake is dammed by this dam. From here, you have a fantastic view of the large reservoir. Walking across the dam is definitely worth it.

Alfsee, located southeast of Alfhausen, a few hundred meters east of the B 68, can be reached from this federal highway and from the Neuenkirchen-Vörden junction of the A 1, which runs just to the east.
