The stables were among the first buildings completed in 1737/38 and housed up to 100 horses and their grooms. The planned counterpart opposite was never built. Since 1948, the Diocese of Osnabrück has owned the building, which today houses the "Marstall Clemenswerth Youth Education Center."

Originally divided into a kitchen garden and an orchard, the garden behind the Capuchin monastery impresses with its high yew hedge trimmed in baroque shapes.
