Hello everyone, for me the Bulkweg (Bärenkuhle) up is one of the most beautiful climbs from the town of Steinbeck towards Ibbenbüren. The Bulkweg is very idyllic and has little traffic (apart from local residents). On the descent you have to watch out for bumps in the asphalt surface, which are not a problem when climbing on a racing bike. The climb up the Bärenkuhle is fairly gentle until the last 200 m or so where it gets quite steep. But then you've reached the top. Note on the Bärenkuhle and how the Bulkweg got its name: A former colleague is a local resident and he once told me that his great-grandfather killed the last bear in that area.

Today we were hungry for cake and wanted to "earn" it. That's why we set off on our eBikes from the bridge over the Ibbenbürener Aa (Groner Allee; parking for cars available). Overall, a very nice bike tour without any major climbs and, importantly for us, as far away from main roads or bike paths parallel to main roads as possible. Without wanting to advertise: Friends of home-made cakes are in good hands in this café.

Hello dear people, If you don't want to ride your racing bike through Ibbenbüren town, there is a charming alternative or section here. I would give the asphalt of the side road a grade of 2. Be careful with the two cushions mounted on it (they are supposed to reduce the speed). If you choose this option, you will be rewarded with the idyllic scenery of the adjacent Teutoburg Forest (near the "Dörenther Klippen") and the view of Ibbenbüren. Have fun with and on the section.
