The visually and technically stunning course, nestled in a clearing within the Schönbuch Nature Park, offers golfing amidst beautiful scenery and absolute tranquility. The fairways are varied and feature lakes, ponds, and streams. Hole 17, a dogleg, is particularly spectacular and challenging, with its lakes and well-defended green. After your round, the clubhouse restaurant, with its unique panoramic terrace overlooking the 18th green, invites you to indulge in culinary delights.

The Via Rheni (German: Rheinstraße, meaning Rhine Road) was part of an important north-south route from the Rhineland across the Swabian Alb to Upper Swabia and from there over the Alps to Italy. It is documented as Via Rheni in 1191, and its course through the Schönbuch forest is confirmed by traces in the terrain and road names. Contrary to what its Latin name might suggest, it is not one of the well-known Roman roads, although large sections were probably used by the Romans and possibly even in pre-Roman times. In the area of the central section of this road, in the districts of Tübingen and Böblingen, as well as the former district of Leonberg, this road is still known today and can be found on some maps under the names Rheinstraße, Rheinsträßle, or Heerstraße. In many sections, it is still in use as a field or forest path or as a road. However, it lost its original significance with the rise of road and path construction in the 18th century and is therefore hardly recognizable in the landscape today as this once important long-distance route.
