Always a woow effect for us, unbelievable and beautiful. In the middle of the forest, these sand caves with such great white sand as by the sea....the largest adventure playground in the eastern Harz.

The Klusfelsen is probably the most peculiar part of the Klusberge near Halberstadt. The influences of humans are unmistakable on this sandstone massif, which only appears monolithic from a distance. There are various cavities in the very jagged rock formation, some of which are enormous in size. These artificial caves are unique in their size in all of Germany. Significant parts of it were probably created in prehistoric times.
