This tower, which is part of the overall concept of the "Spiegelsberge" park, was built by Spiegel around 1780. On the substructure and the intermediate section with the slanted windows, there are remains of animal depictions in the rusticated masonry, an expression of the new "feeling for nature". When we climb the tower, the window facing the direction we are walking gives us a view of the Brocken. Source: display board

The Spiegelsberge Landscape Park is located in the ridge of the same name south of Halberstadt. It was named after the Halberstadt cathedral dean Ernst Ludwig Christoph Spiegel. Under his guidance, this landscape park was created, which is one of the earlier examples of English-style landscape parks in Germany. In 1771 it was opened to the public and today, with its well-developed paths, it still offers visitors a walking and hiking experience.

The Belvedere Tower near Halberstadt, near the animal enclosure, was built around 1782. Walkable observation tower with a beautiful all-round view. Very close by is the stamp box, "In the Shadow of the Witches"
