It's a pity that the castle is cordoned off on all sides and is slowly but surely falling into disrepair.

I immediately noticed this ruin in Lieberose because it looks so romantic. It is the town church, which was built in the 15th century and was badly damaged by bombs in World War II. It has only been propped up and preserved to a certain extent. A local resident told me that there are efforts to put a roof over it to make it a meeting and memorial site. But nothing has happened to date. In my opinion, it can stay as it is, because it looks breathtakingly beautiful anyway.

The castle is in poor condition and cannot be visited.

Interesting memorial against war and destruction.

In 1519, members of the Schulenburg family acquired the area and in 1550 had both the castle and the church fundamentally rebuilt. The Italian master builder Thadäus Paglion was commissioned to do this. Under his direction, a magnificent and memorial building was created that is unique in Brandenburg. In 1945 an aerial bomb destroyed the church. However, essential pieces of equipment could be saved and housed in the small country church.
